About the Event

Gardens are more than just beautiful landscapes—they can be powerful tools for climate action. Join in for an engaging discussion on how to design gardens that are both resilient and sustainable by blending native and non-native plants.

The featured speaker, Farmer T.J., is the executive director of the Maplewood Area Historical Society and a passionate advocate for environmental stewardship. With a background in 19th-century agrarian technology and a deep love for nature, T.J. brings a unique perspective on how history, ecology, and climate action intersect in our own backyards. He will share practical strategies for creating gardens that support biodiversity, conserve resources, and contribute to a healthier planet.

This event is ideal for gardeners, environmental advocates, and anyone looking to make a positive impact through thoughtful landscaping. Come for the inspiration, stay for the community and refreshments.
