Healthy Textiles Summit

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, join us at The Loft at Studio J in Stillwater, MN, for an enlightening evening at the Healthy Textiles Summit: The Fabric of Our Future. This eye-opening event, hosted by toxyfree and moderated by local favorite Elizabeth Ries (ABC-KSTP’s “Twin Cities Live”), will uncover the hidden toxins in the textiles we wear every day. With a focus on public health and sustainability, our expert panel will explore the dark side of fashion—from toxic dyes to dangerous production chemicals—and share insights into how consumers can make safer choices.

The panel features Alden Wicker, award-winning author of To Dye For and leading advocate for transparency in the fashion industry; Karen Wade Cavanagh, an environmental lawyer specializing in consumer rights; and Kris Hansen, a former 3M chemist and PFAS expert.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the summit starting at 6:30 pm.
