About the Event

The public is invited to a free screening of Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at Hamline University's Drew Science Center, Room 118. The event will begin with doors opening at 6:00 PM, and the screening will start at 6:30 PM, followed by a presentation and a thought-provoking discussion.

Plastic People is a landmark documentary that examines humanity's complex relationship with plastic, focusing on one woman's quest to uncover startling revelations about the impact of microplastics on human health.

The event will commence with informational tabling by Clean Water Action, Sierra Club, MN Zero Waste Coalition, and other environmental organizations, providing attendees the opportunity to learn about local initiatives and connect with community members committed to sustainability.

Hamline University offers easy access from the Hewitt stop on the A line, and free parking is available on campus.

This screening and discussion are co-hosted by the MN Zero Waste Coalition, Coalition for Plastic Reduction, Northeast Metro Climate Action, Sierra Club North Star Chapter, and Eureka Recycling.
