This immersive project combines art, conservation, and public engagement, aiming to raise awareness about the critical role individuals and communities play in protecting clean water. Highlights include 13 original works on paper inspired by the watershed’s unique biodiversity and a “water bar” offering tastings of regional water sources to spark dialogue about human impacts on waterways.
The event will feature a reception on March 6, 2025, co-hosted by Megan Miller Fine Art, with a special arts and conservation dialogue. Guest speaker Angie Hong will present insights from her new book, Exploring the St. Croix River Valley: Adventures on and off the Water.
By blending creativity and advocacy, The Water Where We Live illuminates the vital connections between art, community, and ecological stewardship, while encouraging actionable solutions to safeguard waterways at both local and legislative levels.
