The entire board of directors of Sustainable Stillwater MN was at Stillwater City Hall today for a presentation to the City Council by Linda Countryman and Roger Tomten.
They were there to encourage the city to create a climate action plan and to hire a consultant to create a baseline study of our carbon footprint and climate vulnerabilities.

The study would be the first step in the creation of a plan of mitigation - determining our greenhouse gas output and reducing or eliminating it - and adaptation - determining our climate vulnerability and acting to prevent as much damage as possible before it's too late. Thank you to the Mayor and City Council for hearing us out and appreciating the urgency of our request.
