Earth Day 2023 Trash Dash

Huge shout out to all the folks who came out on Earth Day this year to Trash Dash at Lily Lake Park. It was a success even though it was extremely cold and had snowed in the morning. We had 13 people come out and help pick up trash!

Trash Dashes are quick, fun, and instantly rewarding! It helps folks connect with nature, increases activity levels, and helps clean up our community. Creating a healthy environment is vital to creating a sustainable community for all to live, work, and play in. Every piece of trash that is taken away to be recycled or deposited in a landfill means there is one less dangerous item for birds, turtles, or fish to swallow. Cleanups also restore these creatures’ habitats.
