Feathered Fun: A Full House for "Birds of Washington County" with Kyle Te Poel!

We had a packed house for Kyle Te Poel’s captivating presentation, Birds of Washington County, and let’s just say—it was anything but for the birds! Kyle took us on a journey through Washington County’s unique landscape, explaining how our region’s geological formations create a rich variety of habitats, making it a prime location for an incredible array of bird species.

From common backyard visitors to the rare and elusive, Kyle covered it all—giving us a fresh appreciation for the feathered friends that share our skies. He didn’t just dish out the best birding hotspots (though we got plenty of great recommendations!); he also reminded us that some of the best birdwatching can happen right outside our own windows.

His biggest takeaway? Just get outside and enjoy nature! Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just someone who likes a good cardinal sighting with your morning coffee, the key is simply to be present and appreciate the world around us.
