About the Event

Join us for a memorable event for all ages at the annual community celebration hosted by Brown’s Creek Watershed District and Bird City Stillwater, a workgroup of Sustainable Stillwater MN. This fun, free, family-friendly nature event offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for everyone.


Bird City Stillwater has organized a variety of engaging activities for all ages. At 11:00 AM, you can witness an exciting raptor show that will captivate audiences of all ages. Learn how to prevent bird-window collisions, an important step in protecting our feathered friends. Discover the impact of light pollution on birds and what we can do to mitigate it. Explore the efforts being made to restore bird habitats and get involved in the process. The 2024 World Migratory Bird Day theme focuses on birds and insects, offering fascinating insights into their interactions. Gain expert knowledge from our esteemed birder, George, who will share his extensive experience and insights. Children will have a blast at the Kids Corner with fun bird-themed activities designed just for them.


The Brown’s Creek Watershed District also has a fantastic lineup of activities. Enjoy various games and win exciting prizes. Relax and enjoy live music performances that will set a delightful atmosphere. Get expert tips and advice on lawn care from the University of Minnesota, helping you maintain a healthy and eco-friendly yard. Meet live reptiles and amphibians up close, learning about their unique characteristics and habitats. Discover the world of bees with a demonstration bee hive, and treat yourself to free ice cream as you learn. Try your hand at fly fishing at our dedicated station, where you can learn and practice this serene and skillful activity.
