Overview

The Complete Streets initiative works to ensure all streets are designed for the safety and comfort of all users, not just cars. By integrating biking and pedestrian-friendly features into the design of our roads, we can improve mobility for everyone.

Key Actions

• Develop and advocate for Complete Streets Policy adoption
• Partner with local planners and engineers to integrate these features into city planning
• Work with residents and businesses to raise awareness and support

Education & Connection to Sustainability

Complete Streets represent a holistic approach to transportation that prioritizes sustainability by reducing dependency on single-occupancy vehicles. Designing streets to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists, and public transportation not only lowers greenhouse gas emissions but also enhances the overall health and well-being of the community.

This initiative aligns with sustainability goals by promoting active transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and making streets safer and more accessible for all. Complete Streets also support local economies by encouraging foot and bike traffic, making neighborhoods more vibrant and livable.
