City Council Votes “Yes” on Climate Action ProposalWe did it! Sustainable Stillwater MN set the goal of influencing the city to create a climate action plan back in 2021. At the March 7, 2023 City Council meeting, Stillwater City Councilor Larry Odebrecht proposed moving forward with a plan. We are grateful for his assistance and the support of the majority of the City Council. Sustainable Stillwater MN and local experts will be involved in the planning process. Climate Fair is April 29! Learn and celebrate! Real ways to take action at this family-friendly community event! At the Fair, you’ll find organizations and businesses promoting clean energy, healthier gardens, nontoxic products, and more. Children’s activities, speakers, live music, and refreshments! Lights Out, Stillwater! It's that time again. Our sweet, feathered friends are streaming back to Minnesota starting now. As part of our commitment to being an Audubon Bird City, residents are encouraged to help curb light pollution. “What’s that Plant?” Begins May 1Walk with purpose! Enjoy strolling the Gateway/Browns Creek Trail while learning about plants. Trailside plant signage will remain up May 1-7 and repeats monthly through September. Be sure to also check out recommended plant ID apps. This is a fun, independent strolling activity for all – the trails are stroller and wheelchair friendly. Leashed dogs welcome. No registration needed – stop by at your leisure!
